Stingray City - Snorkeling - Cayman Islands

We traveled to Grand Cayman for a week in January, 2008 and had a terrific time. This was our first trip to the islands and we were not disappointed. The weather was great, although a bit windy for a day or two.

If you enjoy snorkeling, diving and taking underwater photographs, this place should be on your list of places to visit. I’ve put together several videos that are hopefully entertaining and that take a look at the area, some of the activities and another less pleasant issue.

Snorkeling is great. We took a day trip with Captain Marvin’s crew and had a great time. There were lots of beautiful fish, coral and stingrays. The visit to Stingray city is a must for grown up and kids. It’s a little spooky at first but it’s something you will remember for the rest of your life.

Nichol was the videographer for our trip. You can purchase a video of the trip for $60 that has great footage of the fish and you as you gracefully glide through the water. The video arrived a week or so after we returned. The great thing about the video is that you can rip it and make your own vacation video. Edit out the other people and you have a personal vacation video that cuts to the important scenes, i.e. you and the fish.

I used Easy Media Creator 10 Suite to rip and remix the video. A 30 minute video became a 9 minute 30 second video that was posted on YouTube. Visit and take a look. You’ll want to slip into your flip flops, head to a beach and snorkel!
